The month of June marks the beginning of winter. The coldest season of the year is the one that makes you lazy for exercise. However, the time is right to adopt a new workout routine and hit the big time for summer. If you want to have a flat stomach, we have some tips.

PE teacher, Vanessa Furstenberger, helped us out and revealed five tips and alternatives that will help you stay flat until summer.

1 – Do 30 to 40 minutes of aerobic (or cardiovascular) exercise 4 to 6 times a week.

Vanessa explains that cardiovascular exercises accelerate the process of reducing body fat percentage. Running, walking and cycling are among the most recommended.

2 – Use high intensity and short duration exercises.

This type of activity increases the heart rate and disrupts homeostasis (balance in the body). In addition to increasing oxygen consumption after training, as it requires a large energy expenditure during and also in the recovery period of training, which increases metabolism and helps in fat reduction.

Vanessa indicates activities such as HIIT and interval training (aerobic and strength exercises). The results appear quickly. And it is still possible to perform basic exercises such as jumping jacks, squats, rope and burpees to improve the result.

3 – Engage in abdominal exercises.

By themselves they do not decrease abdominal fat, but accompanied by aerobic exercises and strength training ensure the desired definition and decrease in the mass of the place, favoring a flat stomach.

4-Decrease sodium, avoid soft drinks, do not drink liquids during meals.

“This causes abdominal distension, which appears to have a greater volume in the region,” explains the practitioner. As for sodium, it increases water retention, which is also responsible for unwanted abdominal volume.

5 – Drink lots of water.

Water intake helps reduce fluid retention, as well as aids in bowel functioning, which reduces abdominal bloating.

As always, it’s important to point out that this is just one piece of advice that will help you achieve your goal of having a flat stomach. A balanced diet, following a diet with a professional in the sector and the regular practice of physical activity, even under the supervision of professionals, are the steps that will guarantee you the desired benefits, both in health and in modulation of the body.
