Equipped kitchen

With the desire for a kitchen that was “practical, optimized, welcoming and with personality”, the architect created, in collaboration with SCA Jardim Europa, a joinery set that includes: drawers for fruit bowls and pots, china cabinet and lower and upper shelves for utensils.

The room has a layout designed for easy movement and, as for the style of the furniture, Ana explains that she was aiming for something elegant and soberopting for olive green as the main tone of the color palette.

“The kitchen was designed from the entrance, so right at the beginning of the space a wooden porch with LED louvres next to worktop for quick meals. The mix of olive wood and black porcelain stoneware, which imitates marble, creates an elegant and simple atmosphere in the room. Furthermore, the design took into account both ends of the kitchen, leaving ample space for circulation in the center. The joinery chosen was olive green and features matte and gloss finishes, in different depths to work well with the volume,” he explains.

Another function of carpentry is domestic appliances, without leaving the wiring exposed. This feature ensures a clean and unobstructed appearance, which is complemented by the handles with touch sensorthat barely appear.

The final touch is the wardrobe that houses the objects of the service area.

Dining room

With inspiration classicthe dining room received a multifunctional cell phonewhich works for both store and display objects, also performed by SCA Jardim Europa. In addition to the drawers and cabinets, the piece has a beveled shelf and LED lighting. Thanks to it, receiving guests for dinner becomes more practical, since all the necessary items are at hand.

“The dining room furniture serves as a buffet and porcelain cabinet, so decorative objects are highlighted – such as photo frames, ornamental vases and flowers – while crockery, cutlery, bowls and glasses are well stored and organised, ready to be placed on the dining table when used. Therefore, the idea was to ensure that this custom-made piece of furniture was practical and helped with the activities and functions of the dining room,” says Ana.

Designed joinery: what is the step by step to have one

The advantages of planned carpentry are many, from optimization of available spaceto the aesthetic freedom to compose the rooms of your home in a personalized way. However, the process of designing and executing the pieces requires some patience.

What to take into consideration

-

For those who want to invest in designed carpentry it is necessary to take into account factors such as: time, the support of an industry professional and a reliable company to create each piece.

“It is always necessary to count on an architectural professional so that the design takes into account the project as a whole, establishing a unity, ensuring that the measurements are exact and the appropriate choice of the type of material (MDF, natural veneers, demolition of noble woods , etc.). Furthermore, it is always interesting to include custom-made joinery, right from the project stage, to make the most of its potential and solutions, taking into account the combinations that the joinery can have with the finishes, coverings and paintwork of the project.

How long does it take

Ana explains that the entire process, from design to completion, can take an average of two to six months, depending on the size and type of job.
