Matteus, from BBB 24, has already helped sell the homemade bread made by his grandmother

Pães da Vovó Neuza are still sold today in the municipality of Alegrete, in Rio Grande do Sui

Matteus has great affection for his 81-year-old grandmother Neuza and often mentions her name in “BBB 24.” Last week, after winning the “Bate and Volta” competition and winning R$10,000, he got very emotional and said that he would use that money to renovate his grandmother’s house.

The two are very close and the brother also said that in the neighborhood where they lived he sold homemade artisan bread, prepared by Neuza.

“I ask God for forgiveness because at first I was ashamed [de vender]but everything has a meaning and today I see it [isso]”, they told their colleagues in confinement.

In an interview with the website of the magazine “Pequenas Empresas, Grandes Negócios”, Neuza said that his parents had a shop where they sold sweets and, as a result, he started very early to cook with his mother and prepare bread, cakes and cane sugar for sale.

“My mother made sweets to sell at the shop. I was the one who mixed the ingredients and started learning,” she explains.

Grandma Neuza said that as a child she sat next to a stove on a small box. She revealed the ingredients used to prepare the sandwiches. “All my life I have used eggs, milk, fennel, margarine… I don’t add water!”, she points out.

Even today, Matteus’ grandmother’s bread is sold in the municipality of Alegrette, in Rio Grande do Sul.
