This pitch, you’ve no doubt recognized in less time than it takes to read it, is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second part of the famous cinematic saga adapted from J.K. Rowling’s works. A film once again led by the iconic trio of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), which TF1 has the good idea to broadcast this Tuesday night. Another opportunity to lead!

Between the first and second parts of the magical franchise, the character of the iconic Hogwarts master is no longer the same. His interpreter Daniel Radcliffe (who got the role thanks to a certain person) states: “He’s developed so much as a character that I’ve had to develop myself. Now I have two instincts: mine and Harry’s. When we were shooting each scene, I asked myself, ‘How would Harry react?’ and I tried to convey that feeling on screen.”

“I wouldn’t miss this experience for anything.”continued the young Briton. “It was fantastic, I grew and developed into an adult. In fact, I think everyone who worked on this film grew, even the adults! And the bonds that I made, especially with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, will never be broken.”

The saga’s second biggest success at the French box office

For Chris Columbus, Daniel Radcliffe, who is back behind the camera after signing on for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first film in the saga. “He took on a huge responsibility when he was cast as Harry Potter. He rose to the challenge and really matured as an actor. He became a real leader, a real hero and, to a lesser extent, a real temptress!”

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, part of the fantasy saga fronted by Daniel Radcliffe, was a huge success at the French box office with over 9.1 million releases, the franchise’s second biggest success after the first opus’ 9.47 million.
