Season 2 for “Montmartre”?
During the 2025 La Rochelle Art Festival, Aline Panel (one of the producers of Authentic Prod for Montmartre) presented his plans and revealed that the idea for Season 2.He was immediately evacuatedHe said on the journalists’ microphone:It was clear that the story was over. We were going to repeat it.“
“Then, making a season 2 in 2025 is getting harder and harder. You may not have noticed this, but in terms of audience, we are seeing a spectacular drop. We don’t want to take that risk. The idea is to start with a collection of neighborhoods in Paris that will be synonymous in our world and beyond with freedom, creativity and equality.“
in the “Montparnasse” project
“The next chapter will be devoted to Montparnasse, Aline Panel announces. The action takes place in the roaring twenties, after the First World War (…) Montparnasse was a neighborhood of that time, very creative, you had the surrealists, the jazz that came through the United States during the First World War.“
“But you also had artists who escaped anti-Semitism, like Chagall. This is a neighborhood where there is a lot of emulation, a lot of freedom, also a lot of partying, it was a big box office, and so we would a priori have our anchor and our arena.“
A tour of the districts of Paris
The producer explains why the situation after Montmartre should be considered as follows:We tell ourselves that we actually have reason to explore the neighborhoods of Paris (…) After the war, the second time, it was Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the existentialists. Then there’s the 80s, so we head to Pigalle…“
Aline Panel concludes: “We hope to use the power of Montmartre, if it works, to publish a collection that will offer a show to the public, a great area of Paris, an era and a new history.“
Will the audience of Montmartre be able to carry out this ambitious project? Episodes of Montmartre are in any case available for free replay on the TF1+ platform.
