Find out which chefs’ favorite places to eat pizza are
Sao Paulo is the city that hosts all cultures and cuisines, including Italian, with thousands of pizzerias scattered throughout every neighborhood. But is there a pizzeria recognized as the best in Sao Paulo?
To find out, Paladar sought out chefs working at the region’s big restaurants to find out what their favorite pizzas are.
The chefs André Mifano, from the Donna restaurant; Fábio Lazzarini, from Varanda Cena; Ana Cremonezi, by Ella Fitz; Marco Aurélio Sena, of Tantin and Ventre; Diego Gimenez, of the Trio restaurant; Chico Mancuso, parrillero chef at Rincon Escondido; Rodrigo Aguiar, from Jacarandá; Martin Casilli, of the Sky Hall Group (Garden Bar and Terrace Bar); Thiago Morais, from Ki-Mukeka.

Braz
Bráz stands out among the pizzerias in São Paulo for the experience of eating there. The place is open and you can watch the pizza chefs assembling the pizzas. The pizzeria has also maintained the quality presented since the beginning of its activities, more than 25 years ago.

Carlo Pizza
This pizzeria stands out for the quality of the ingredients used. The sauce, made with roasted and toasted tomatoes in a wood-fired oven, elevates the level of the pizzas, which also highlight the wide variety of cheeses.

Peak
This pizzeria deviates from the traditional profile and the restaurant itself “authorizes” eating the pieces with your hands. Picco also stands out for the pairing of pizzas with cocktails. The venue’s drink menu was voted the best of 2023 by Gilberto Amendola’s column at Paladar.

Thanks Naples
Located in the municipality of Santo André, in Greater San Paolo, the Grazie Napoli pizzeria, as the name suggests, prepares Neapolitan-style pizzas, with elastic and well-aerated dough. The place still retains a charming and pleasant atmosphere.

Bocada Pizza
One of the best places to eat good pizza in Sao Paulo, Bocada’s Pizza offers excellent delivery services, but enjoying a pizza at this place is incomparable. The care taken in preparing pizza recipes is a strong factor in Bocada’s favoritism.
