Most popular cities in Brazil and abroad […]
In a semester with few options for long holidays, Easter, next Friday, March 29, should be well experienced by those who love to travel.
In a press release, Airbnb reported a nearly 90% increase in bookings for out-of-town travel. Whether in capital cities or in the middle of nature, the platform has registered particular interest from guests, in five categories: “beachfront”, “on the beach”, “with incredible pools”, “in cabanas” and ” with incredible views.”
In another recent survey, Airbnb also revealed that, for check-ins during the Easter period, guests aged 30 to 39 led bookings in Brazil, followed by those aged 40 to 49 .
Interestingly, two destinations in Rio Grande do Sul lead the list of the most popular destinations for the holiday period: the capital Porto Alegre and the coastal Torres, followed by Rio de Janeiro.
The ranking continues with Sao Paulo (SP), Garopaba (SC), Salvador (BA), Brasilia (DF), Curitiba (PR), Ouro Preto (MG) and Rio das Ostras (RJ), among the preferences for Easter.
Easter over there
As for destinations outside of Brazil, Airbnb has seen demand in four cities in South America, although North America and Europe are also on the rise, according to the accommodation booking platform.
Based on searches carried out by Brazilian guests for check-ins during the Easter period, between 27 March and 1 April 2024, the following destinations were registered, not necessarily in the same order: Miami and Los Angeles (USA), Santiago ( Chile), Mendoza and Buenos Aires (Argentina), Montevideo (Uruguay), Milan and Florence (Italy), Toronto (Canada) and Madrid (Spain).
