Hermes Nadege Vanhee’s designer launched a collection of leather bra, padded silk coats and running Saturday for the French spring summer parade.
The guests entered the stormy roads and found a beige scenario, flanked by seats, with the floor covered with sand and pieces of broken shells.
The models paraded through space using high boots, with their horse set. They wore sand shirts, skirts and bra set, narrow with leather and lace straps. The open rear part revealed the shoulders, while the leather bras maintained the silk fabric in place, covering the chest.
The color palette was dominated by soft beige and kaki tones, with some touches of living red: a series of leather trousers, a handbag and scarves.
Hermes has passed the performance of rival luxury groups such as LVMH, Kering and Chanel while the industry has to face prolonged deceleration.
Dozens of brands, including Dior, Chanel and Gucci, have taken on new designers to try to relaunch sales.
In Hermes, Vanhee, who directs women’s clothing designs, has been in office for over a decade.
The Paris fashion week, which will last until 7 October, presents important brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent and Loewe.
