A dental prosthesis is a customized device used to replace missing or damaged teeth. It is designed to restore chewing function, improve aesthetics and promote oral health.

There are different types of dental prostheses, including partial ones, which replace only some teeth, and complete ones, which replace all the teeth in an arch.

Dentures can be removable, allowing the patient to remove them for cleaning, or fixed, which are permanently attached to existing teeth or implants.

Usually made from materials such as acrylic or porcelain, dentures are carefully shaped and fitted to fit comfortably in the patient’s mouth, providing a natural appearance and restoring the function of missing teeth.

But there are many myths about dentures. Watch the video with dentist Fernanda Oliani, technical consultant of Oral Sin, who debunks these myths.
