Café in Japan allows interaction with animals for half an hour; Anyone who wants to stay longer or feed him pays an additional cost
Imagine arriving for a cup of coffee and having a friendly capybara for company?
This is the reality at Cafe Capyba, Tokyo, where customers can interact, give and receive affection, and even enjoy the company of Kohaku and Pisuke while having afternoon tea.
And just to enter the venue and play with the animals you need to pay a fee of 1,250 yen (R$41.20) for half an hour. Did you feel like enjoying it a little more? Each additional 10 minutes costs 330 yen (R$10.87).
Customers can also pamper capybaras by purchasing vegetables to feed them for 330 yen.
“Capybaras are free to spend time in the store. See how relaxed you are without rushing,” says the description on the store’s official website.
The menu for humans is limited: coffee, black tea and apple juice are some of the drinks available.
The house welcomes children aged 6 and up and limits entry to 10 people at a time. Reservations are made via the cafe’s website and customers should be careful, as the animals have bathroom and rest breaks.
