Dubai is the land of extravagance – see the documents

Everything in this emirate borders on exaggeration […]

From artificial islands to theme parks, everything in Dubai seems designed so that tourists can experience an immense simulacrum of the world.

There everything borders on exaggeration, starting with the flight departing from Sao Paulo which lasted 14 hours and cost over R$6,000. Not to mention the prices charged at attractions such as a lookout with an entrance costing more than R$500 each.

This destination in the United Arab Emirates is the city of records, with options ranging from the deepest swimming pool to the largest flower garden on the planet. It also has the largest building ever built, where the largest shopping mall in the world is located.

Recordings of Dubai

The largest building in the world

The Burj Khalifa is 828 meters tall and has more than 160 floors, the highlight of which is At the Top, an observation deck located on the 124th and 125th floors of this 2010 construction.

The prices to climb the tower are also high.

For a visit in April 2024, access per person costs AED 379 (approximately R$513). At At.mosphere, considered the highest restaurant in the world, on the 122nd floor, the main course costs no less than 255 AED per person (approximately R$345.31).

The largest shopping mall in the world

The tallest building in the world is also home to the largest shopping mall on the planet.

Covering an area equivalent to 200 football pitches, Dubai Mall has more than 1,200 shops, two commercial department stores and entertainment areas, such as an ice skating rink and KidZania, a “fictitious city” with more than 80 businesses and 60 scenic establishments.

Flower sculptures

Open between September and April, when temperatures are milder, Dubai Miracle Garden is a 72,000 m² park that is home to the largest flower garden in the world, according to the Guinness Book.

For 95 AED (about R$128) you can wander through themed areas made with around 150 million flowers, including a full-size replica of a A380 plane.

The tip

This shopping and entertainment destination, on one of the islands of the man-made Jumeirah archipelago, is also home to the Palm Fountain, considered the largest dancing fountain in the world.

The water show, which reaches more than one hundred meters in height, is free and includes choreography and a light show, depending on the music played, every 30 minutes.

Larger frame

There are no limits in the land of extravagance and one of the latest records is the Dubai Frame at Zabeel Park.

This giant frame-shaped structure is 93 meters wide and another 150 meters high.

Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the structure, where it is possible to walk on a glass walkway connecting the two towers, the ticket for which costs AED 49 (about R$66).

Deep dive in Dubai

With more than 14 million liters of water, the equivalent of six Olympic swimming pools, the deepest pool in the world is 60 meters deep, where it is possible to immerse yourself at a permanent temperature of 30 ºC, in an environment reminiscent of a city ( scenic) abandoned.

The experience costs between 400 AED/R$541 (snorkeling) and 1,200 AED/R$1,624 (scuba diving for certificates).
