Public health has surpassed crime and violence and has become the main concern of Brazilians. This is what emerges from a new survey conducted by the Ipsos Institute, a multinational company that carries out public opinion polls, and released last week. This scenario hasn’t happened since the pandemic COVID-19.
The search, called What worries the world? (which can be translated from English as “What worries the world?”), questions around 1,000 people from 29 countries, of different ages, every month about their main concerns in relation to your country.
Through a digital panel, participants select the three topics that they consider most worrying at that moment, including: public health; crime and violence; education; inflation, financial/political corruption; poverty and social inequality; taxes; climate change; terrorism and others.
As regards Brazilians, the latest survey, carried out from March 22 to April 5, 2024, highlighted public health as the primary concernsecond 42% of participants.
