Ingredients for roast beef in the oven

  • 1 cup of light beer (at room temperature)
  • 2 crushed cloves of garlic
  • 1 sachet of powdered beef broth
  • 1.2 kg of breast (piece)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 cups of diced potatoes
  • 1 cup sweet potatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh thyme

Method of preparation

Mix the beer, garlic and beef broth. Season the meat with salt and pepper and make diagonal cuts in the fat. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat and brown the piece for 5 minutes on each side. Arrange on a baking sheet, drizzle with the beer sauce and bake in a preheated medium oven for 15 minutes. Boil the vegetables in salted boiling water for 5 minutes and drain. Season with salt, pepper and thyme and spread on the pan around the meat. Cook for 25 minutes. Leave the meat to rest for 10 minutes and slice it. Arrange on a serving dish with the vegetables and drizzle with the sauce from the pan before serving.
