The Marina Salles Arquitetura e Interiores studio has created a project that reflects the simplicity and precision of the shapes of the Daslan jewelery brand.
The jewelry brand Daslanfounded by Daniela Salles, it has been enriched with a new showroom designed by the studio Marina Salles Architecture and Interiors. With a minimalist design, the brand is anchored in precision and simplicity, revealing timelessness through the purity of its forms. The challenge was to translate this concept with originality into the exhibition space, in an environment that comfortably welcomed customers.
The materials chosen as denominators were the stone, wood and metal. Cumaru wooden planks cover the entire floor, while mineral paint covers the walls (pigmentation technique developed by Studio Passalacqua and created from a mixture of water, earth and natural pigments) – a tribute to ephemeral elements, such as sand.

A sculptural bench, created by the architect, constitutes the centerpiece of the main hall, occupying the center of the scene and organizing the activities, from the service spaces to the display of jewels. She is a combination of a volume of carpentry and a piece of Travertino Navona marble.

To obtain diffused lighting, which avoids shadows and direct reflections on the glass, the horizontal suspension Li was chosen – in a metal structure with electrostatic paint covered in fabric and Kozo (Japanese paper) – designed by Adriana Yazbek. The lighting design was created in collaboration with Lightworks (by Airton Pimenta) and incorporates a neutral color temperature through technical fixtures that highlight the small pieces.

With particular attention to all scales – from the interior to the product – the architect Marina Salles also signs design of wall-mounted and free-standing mirrorsdesigned exclusively for the project.

One of the project’s requests was that spaces intended for the brand’s other activities should also be included. The balcony supports meetings with suppliers, set up by a Canela table, by Fernando Prado for Dpot, surrounded by Copa chairs, by Fernando Jaeger, and a wooden sideboard (Zara Home) containing a tray by LetÃcia Wrede. On the opposite side, the pair of Siri armchairs, designed by Brazilian designer Claudia Moreira Salles, with wooden structure and linen upholstery, is combined with a coffee table designed by Isabelle de Mari for Olho Móveis.

In the landscape project created in collaboration with Land N Citi (by Rulian Nociti), metal vases in corten paint, designed for the project and arranged around the perimeter of the space, maintain privacy and bring greenery inside.

Adjacent to the main room is the designer’s office, designed for creative development and private meetings. Maintaining the concept adopted in the other rooms, the workbench joinery is finished in Freijó wood and, referring to the ring that identifies the design of some jewellery, the handles have a circular armhole design.

With direct access to the main room, Freijó wooden panels with a shrimp opening system hide the pantry. To convey the image of a single volume, the lower series of cabinets is entirely materialized with the same finish as the access doors, while the upper pair of shelves supports the storage of glasses and utensils.
