The famous and super Brazilian caramel mutt just won another honor, now it inspires Suvinil’s new paint color!
Since February of this year, bill 1897/23 has been under consideration in the Chamber of Deputies, which carries the Carmelo Mutt as an intangible cultural manifestation of Brazil. He has already conquered the internet with memes and videos, and also our hearts with his tenderness! Now the puppy has also dedicated himself to painting. On April 26, Suvinil launched the new color “Vira-lata Caramelo”.
The interior design Silvia Duarte, who also trained in Fashion, comments on the launch. “The color ‘Vira-lata Caramelo’ brings a new shade of beige, which is very reminiscent of the fur of the dogs that have become the symbol of Brazil. This shade not only highlights the environment, but also harmonizes perfectly with the gold-colored wooden furniture,” says the designer, who also adopted this color in her office, located in Sorocaba, in the hinterland of São Paulo .
“I really liked that Suvinil brought this highlight to our stray dogs, as it reflects Brazilianness, something I also highlight in my work,” he adds. Mutt was the term commonly given to dogs without a defined breed, which are largely made up of caramel-colored coats. According to research conducted by the Qualibest Institute, in 2017, they are present in 41% of Brazilian homes with pets.

“Speaking of decoration, the new shade ‘Vira-lata Caramelo’ has everything to conquer Brazilians, just like pets. Being a neutral color, the possibilities are countless and we can apply it in different environments”, explains Silvia Duarte.

The tone goes well with wood and works for walls, joinery and doors.
