This little detail from Stranger Things will make you cry – and we missed it!

Well, Stranger Things, Demogorgons and Eleven fans, we’ve been waiting! We must admit that Netflix really pissed us off by splitting the long-awaited season 4 of the series into two parts. Oh, and common sense warned us, “Don’t start watching until all the episodes are out, don’t suffer!” But when did logic keep us from diving into the new MCU?

This little detail from Stranger Things will make you cry – and we missed it!

Well, are you ready to rip? Let’s be honest, we couldn’t help ourselves when we realized that for several years we hadn’t noticed this tiny but heartbreaking detail. Just a warning in advance: if you haven’t watched the third season, spoilers await! And if you, like us, were on call at midnight on July 1 to finally get access to the final two episodes of season four, then welcome to the touchdown and touchdown club!

Do you remember that baby in the photo below? This is Sarah, Sheriff Jim Hopper’s daughter. In the series, she appears in flashbacks, memories of her heartbroken father. The girl remained in her past life, where her wife Diana was always nearby, and their common daughter did not die of cancer. Jim used to braid Sarah’s hair into ponytails, securing it with blue rubber bands, but when the child was in hospital and started chemotherapy treatment, he started wearing the same rubber bands at wrist.

After Sarah’s death and his wife’s departure, Hopper tried to start his life over, but he kept this little blue talisman whose meaning only he knew. As you remember, the Sheriff wasn’t very sympathetic and was generally unsociable until Odie showed up in his life. Eventually, Jim adopted the child and began caring for her as if he were his own daughter.

He gave her a birth certificate, entered in the “father” column and gave the teenager his surname. And a blue rubber band.

Odie started wearing it when she started living with Hopper. It can also be seen on the girl’s wrist when she performed with a school project – and these are already the events of the fourth season. Then the heroine didn’t yet know that Jim was alive and considered him dead after the tragic events of the previous season’s finale. But, having lost her father (or so she thought), Odie did not withdraw his gift – just as he had not withdrawn it for years in memory of his daughter Sarah. And, in place of the red thread, this blue rubber band stretches across the plot, connecting the wounded heart of Sheriff Jim, who once lost his daughter and found a second chance at happiness.
