Seasoned vegetable chips: try the alternative for a healthy snack

Snacks are so tasty that it’s hard to stop eating, right? However, if consumed very frequently, these processed foods can cause harm to your health. Therefore, the best solution is to replace it with more nutritious recipes, such as seasoned vegetable chips.




The recipe is delicious and well seasoned, bringing flavors as delicious as commercial snacks, but much healthier. Furthermore, the delicacies are very easy and quick to prepare, as well as super colourful!

Seasoned vegetable chips

Time: half past one

Performance: 4 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 Italian courgette with peel
  • 1 sweet potato with skin
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 cassava
  • 1 beetroot
  • 10 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Paprika sauce:

  • 1 pot of natural yogurt (200 g)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Avocado sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 seedless pepper, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Preparation method:

  1. Using a mandolin, slice the courgettes, potatoes, carrot, cassava and beetroot separately.
  2. Place each vegetable in a separate bowl.
  3. Season the courgettes with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt and rosemary.
  4. Season the potato and cassava with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, salt and paprika.
  5. Season the carrot and beetroot with 2 tablespoons of olive oil each, salt and ginger.
  6. Spread the carrot and beetroot on a baking tray lined with baking paper, one slice next to the other.
  7. Bake in a preheated medium oven (180ÂșC) for 20 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
  8. Let cool.
  9. Spread the courgettes, potatoes and cassava onto baking trays lined with baking paper and place in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove and turn the slices.
  11. Put back in the oven for another 30 minutes.
  12. Let cool.
  13. Blend the sauce ingredients separately in a blender.
  14. Serve the chips accompanied by the sauces.
