– 200 ml of milk, hot

– 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cooled into cubes (consider 60 g for every 2 portions).

– Salt to taste

– nutmeg to taste (optional) THE

Finishing ingredients:

– 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cooled into cubes (consider 20 g for every 2 portions). (optional)

  1. Start by cooking the potatoes (see preparation).
  2. Set aside the other ingredients and utensils for the recipe.

PREPARATION:

Easy and Creamy Mashed Potatoes (in the microwave):

  1. Cook whole potatoes in salted water until tender. This process can also be done in the microwave, to do this, pierce the shell and put it on high power for 10 minutes.
  2. Check if they are cooked. Gradually increase the microwave time until they are cooked with the simple touch of a fork.
  3. While they are still hot, cut the potatoes into cubes, without removing the peel.
  4. Pass it little by little in the citrus juicer.
  5. Then sift the squeezed potatoes through a large sieve (optional)
  6. Heat the milk without letting it boil.
  7. Return the squeezed potatoes to the pan and place over low heat. Stir until very hot.
  8. Add the butter, one cube at a time, beating vigorously to incorporate.
  9. Add salt and nutmeg (optional).
  10. Gradually add the heated milk and continue whisking vigorously until you obtain a smooth puree.
  11. Turn off the heat and when ready to serve add the finishing butter (optional)
  12. Check the salt and adjust if necessary.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Download the mashed potatoes in a bowl or, if you prefer, serve directly on plates.
