In the Goiabada roll
Time: 1h (+2h in the fridge)
Performance: 8 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 6 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast
- Margarine for greasing
Filling and covering:
- 1 cup (tea) creamy guava paste
- 1/2 cup grated semi-hard cheese
- Creamy guava dressing
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation method:
- Beat the eggs with the sugar in the mixer on medium speed for 10 minutes or until it doubles in volume.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix gently with a spoon.
- Pour into a greased 25cm x 35cm baking tin, lined with greased baking paper and then place in a preheated medium oven for 15 minutes or until firm.
- Let it cool.
- Turn out onto a damp cloth.
- Remove the baking paper, spread the guava paste with a spatula and sprinkle with the cheese.
- Roll up with the help of the tea towel, wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Arrange on a plate and cover with guava paste.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve immediately.
