This Friday (21st) we celebrate the International Yoga Day. They have been celebrating this date since 2014, a time when United Nations Organization (UN) declared when the new celebration will take place. And, therefore, we asked the editorialist Good liquids and yoga teacher, Ana Paula Mendesthey teach you how to take the yoga off the mat.

Be more flexible

“Still not convinced of how important yoga is and how it can change your life? Well, I can give you some good reasons to rethink it today”, start. And the first lesson is what to do when faced with challenges. “You improve your flexibility and develop strength. This, off the mat, means being more flexible in the face of life events and being more resilient in difficult times”accounts.

Greater concentration

When practicing yoga, a lot of concentration is required to not let our surroundings interfere with our practice, and this also happens in everyday life. “You work on balance and your energy. In other words, it means balancing your emotions and not wasting your energy on useless situations that don’t deserve so much attention”, he advises. Furthermore, “reduces stress and anxiety, resulting in a calmer and more serene mind, expanding the ability to concentrate and focus”.

Healthy mind, healthy body

Finally, to move towards a healthier life, it is necessary to have everything in balance, from the mental to the physical. “A balanced body and mind means a healthy body and mind”he concludes.
