Creamy rice pudding with grated coconut made with just 5 ingredients

Indispensable in the celebrations of San Giovanni, rice pudding can be made even better with the addition of ingredients that are also typical of the season. This is the case with this one sweet rice with grated coconutwhich acquires a special touch with the cinnamon powder sprinkled on top.




The recipe requires only five ingredients and is ready in a few simple steps. It also looks great on cold days, whether at the campsite or at home with family and friends.

Coconut rice pudding

Time: 40 minutes

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw, washed rice
  • 2 liters of milk
  • 2 cups sugar (tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon to taste for sprinkling

Preparation method:

  1. In a pan, add the rice, coconut and half the milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until almost dry.
  3. Add the remaining milk, sugar, cinnamon and cook for another 10 minutes or until cooked but not dry.
  4. Let it cool and then serve.
  5. If desired, decorate with cinnamon sticks and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
