Aromatherapist Marcia Rissato explains the difference between the benefits of perfume and those of natural perfumery, as well as showing you the perfect perfume for what you need.

Did you know that perfume, although it provides wellbeing, does not offer as many benefits as using a natural perfume? When you mix essential oil with a vegetable oil or neutral cream, you can benefit from it, because of the enzymes that are released and because it works on the mind, body and spirit. The aromatherapist and CEO of Pomander Flowers and Aromas, Marcia Rissato. Find out below how to find your perfume and how to best use it:




How does essential oil work?

The essential oil is activated through smell, which in turn activates the limbic system. “Each person has their own aroma due to cellular memory. So when you smell the aroma and you don’t like it, it’s because you are not prepared or there is no resonance with your life. However, when it is an aroma it is good for you fill yourself with this perfume”, indicate. It is worth remembering that you should always dilute the essential oil, rather than applying it directly to the skin. This way you don’t run the risk of allergies or hurting yourself.

The perfect perfume for…

Sometimes, in the 21st century, it can be a little difficult to maintain balance. We therefore asked Rissato to give you some advice on the perfect essential oils for every moment of your routine.

Lightness: “Sweet orange essential oil is considered the oil of joy. It activates the neurotransmitter GABA, which is true joy”.

Fatigue: “The famous French lavender, because it has active ingredients that give balance and relaxation”.

Limiting beliefs: “Lemongrass [também conhecido como capim limão]. It organizes your thoughts and is that little hand that says “it will work, don’t get caught up in what happened.” This is when things happen'”.

Insomnia: “If you bring a lot of repetitive thoughts to bed, choose lavender and sweet orange to clear them. Prepare a little formula that will rebalance and relax you”.

Heachache: “Peppermint is ideal”.

Anxiety: “People have racing syndrome, so we create a blend [mistura] easy? It creates a combination of sweet orange, lavender and lemongrass [capim limão].
