Mini hot dogs: the perfect and succulent snack for the June holidays

One of the most served dishes at June festivals are hot dogs. It’s impossible to find someone who doesn’t get excited when they see a stall with the famous snack! So, if you are about to celebrate the month of Saint John and want to prepare something really tasty, follow this recipe mini hot dogs.




Original in recipe, this is a smaller version of the hot dog. The best thing about this treat is that you don’t have to eat just one! Ready in just 1 hour, the dish serves 8 and is sure to please everyone, especially children.

Mini hot dogs

Time: 1 hour

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 large potato
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 mini hot dog sausages
  • 1 can or sachet of ready-made tomato sauce (340g)
  • 8 mini hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons of milk mayonnaise
  • 2 cups potato straw

Preparation method:

  1. In a pan, over medium heat, cook the potatoes in water with salt and bay leaves.
  2. Drain and squeeze.
  3. In a pan, mix the squeezed potato with the cream, the butter and season with salt.
  4. Reserve.
  5. In another pan place the sausages, cover with water, place over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Drain.
  7. In the pan with the sausage, add the sauce and heat for 3 minutes over medium heat.
  8. Cut the sandwiches in half and spread the mayonnaise and mashed potatoes on each.
  9. Arrange a sausage on each sandwich, cover with the sauce, spread with the straw potatoes and close.
  10. Serve.
