Aline died last Tuesday, 2, after having a generalized infection after applying polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) to her buttocks. The surgery was performed on the 23rd, in Goiânia, and the woman was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital in Brasilia, where she lived, but she did not survive.
The influencer’s friends and family gathered on the morning of this Thursday 4th to say goodbye in the ecumenical temple of Cemitério da Gama. A crowd gathered to say goodbye to the young woman, who was buried around 11:30 am. During the ceremony, participants released white balloons into the sky to say goodbye.

On TV Anhanguera, a Rede Globo affiliate, Elizangela Lima, Aline’s aunt, reported that her niece did not want her to tell the medical team that she was using PMMA. “When Aline was admitted to the hospital, she did a lot of tests and had a urine infection. She thought it had nothing to do with the procedure. But the product was already working inside her,” she says.
According to the aunt, the influencer had already done other interventions with Grazielly da Silva and had never had any problems. “We really thought that she [a suspeita] was formed. When Aline went to ask this question, she said it was a quick procedure, that there would be no reaction, that it was a simple thing. I think Aline did it out of trust,” Elizangela said.
Delegate Débora Melo told the broadcaster that the suspect lied about her education, as she presented herself as a biomedical doctor, but had no training in the field. The establishment had no health license or technical manager, as reported by the television investigation.
Remember the case
Aline has more than 40k followers on her Instagram and shares fashion content and daily tips, as well as posting several photos with her family. She was married and a mother of two boys.
After the procedure, which was performed on July 23, the woman began to feel ill and, on the 29th, the person in charge of the procedure, Grazielly da Silva Barbosa, was arrested red-handed by the Civil Police. She was the owner of the aesthetic clinic where Aline applied the substance to her buttocks and was not registered in the professional register at the Regional Council of Biomedicine. The arrest was carried out by the State Police for the Repression of Crimes against Consumers (Decon).
Terra has so far been unable to locate Grazielly’s defense, but the space remains open for demonstrations.
