Creamy Chocolate Peanut Cake for Special Occasions

A birthday party, a family reunion or simply the desire to make an afternoon special is already an excuse to try this recipe! Creamy chocolate and peanut cake

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • 1 cup of chocolate powder (tea).
  • 1 1/2 cups (tea) sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 2 1/2 cups (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing and flouring
  • 1 pack of chocolate flavoured milk drink (200 ml)
  • Roasted and chopped peanuts for decoration

Filling and covering

  • 500g chopped milk chocolate
  • 1 pack of cream (200 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of brandy
  • 1 cup roasted and chopped peanuts

Preparation method:

  1. In an electric mixer, beat the egg whites.
  2. Add the egg yolks, chocolate powder, sugar, butter, milk and wheat flour, beating until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the yeast and mix with a spoon.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 22cm square pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated medium oven for 35 minutes or until cooked through and golden.
  6. Allow to cool, unmold, cut in half lengthwise and set aside.
  7. For the filling and topping, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and mix it with the cream and brandy until you obtain a cream.
  8. Divide it into two parts and mix the peanuts in one.
  9. Place one part of the cake on a large plate, drizzle with half of the milky drink and spread the chocolate and peanut filling on top.
  10. Place the other part of the cake on top, drizzle with the remaining milk drink and cover the entire cake with the remaining peanut-free chocolate cream, for decoration purposes.
  11. Sprinkle the cake with peanuts and refrigerate until ready to serve.
