Winter has arrived and with it the desire for warm and comforting foods. For those looking for advice on delicious dishes to consume during this period, Oba Hortifruti nutritionist Renata Guirau has prepared four easy-to-prepare recipes to warm up the cold days. Check them out below:
Easy recipes to enjoy in winter
Baked Pear with Cinnamon
ingredients
- 1 medium pear
- 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
- 2 cloves
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
Preparation method
Cut the pear into 4 parts, removing the seeds. It is preferable to keep the peel. Prepare a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Distribute the cinnamon sugar on the surface of the pear slices. Place the slices in a glass container, add the segments to flavor and put in the microwave for about 2 minutes. If desired, repeat the cooking in the microwave until the pear has reached the consistency you prefer. If you prefer, you can also make the same recipe in winter, replacing the pear with an apple.
Oatmeal porridge with berries
ingredients
- 150 ml of whole or vegetable milk
- 3 tablespoons of oat flakes
- ½ cup chopped berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)
- Sugar or sweetener to taste (optional)
Preparation method
Mix the oats with the milk and sugar or sweetener, if you choose to add it. Microwave in a cup or glass container for 1 minute. Remove, mix the ingredients again and microwave for another minute. Repeat the process until the porridge has the consistency you prefer. Then add the chopped red fruits and consume immediately. If desired, also add chopped chestnuts or granola to give crunchiness to the preparation.
Ginger tea with orange and cloves
ingredients
- 250 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- Peel of 1 orange, roughly chopped
- 3 cloves
Preparation method
In a cup, add all the ingredients and heat on low heat. Leave the mixture on the heat for 10 minutes after it boils. Turn off the heat, strain the pieces of ingredients and consume immediately.
Green cream for winter
ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 small celery stalk
- 2 sweet potatoes
- 1 cabbage leaf chopped
- 1 courgette
- 1 cup of cauliflower tea
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1.5 liters of water or homemade broth
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation method
In a pan, brown the onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the yam, celery stalk, cauliflower and water and cook. Blend in a blender and return to the pan. Add the diced zucchini, when it is soft add the seasonings and finally the finely chopped cabbage.
