What is the pH of the skin?

“It’s measured on a scale of 0 to 14, with values below 7 indicating acidity and above 7 indicating alkalinity,” she says.
“Healthy skin, in most cases, has a slightly acidic pHbetween 4.5 and 5.5. This level of acidity is essential to keep the skin barrier intact and protected”, she adds.

How does makeup that reacts to the skin’s pH work?

What we think: “Contrary to what it may seem, the gloss does not have a green appearance on the lips. Within seconds of application, it starts to react to the pH of the skin and a little color appears, in my case a very subtle and natural pink appeared, exactly as it appears. I like it. It gives a burning sensation, but it is not unbearable, in fact, it is a slight tingling that quickly relieves. In terms of lip volume, I felt that Green Chilli provided a slight boost, nothing too extreme. The texture is not really sticky or tacky, ensuring a beautiful shine without compromising comfort. Plus, it promotes a long-lasting result and, even after removing the gloss, I noticed that my lips still had a redness. for sure!”
