A 14-year-old boy has tested positive for Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever
A teenager in Pakistan has contracted Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CHF), a disease considered one of the world’s deadliest, according to a British newspaper The sun.

To the News in ArabicFatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta said the 14-year-old boy had tested positive for the virus and was being treated in the Congo isolation ward. Another patient was also suspected of contracting the hemorrhagic fever.
According to the British newspaper, Pakistan has recorded 84 cases of CCHF this year. There have been five deaths from the disease since January.
Endemic to warm climates, FHCC is transmitted through the bite of an infected tick or through direct contact with the blood of an infected animal. Symptoms can range from a mild febrile illness to a severe one, with bleeding, organ failure, and shock.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the disease kills up to 40% of infected people.
