Blended savory pie with cauliflower – a low carb, healthy, light and tasty recipe

cup = 240 ml, tablespoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

SAVOURY BLENDED CAKE (LOW CARB.) Ingredients:

– 1 unit of fresh cauliflower, pre-cooked

– 3 egg units, large

– 2/3 cup(s) almond milk

– 100 g of fresh lactose-free Minas cheese

– 2 teaspoons olive oil + a little for greasing

– 2 tablespoons golden flaxseed meal

– 1/2 teaspoon zahtar (or other of your choice)

– 1 teaspoon(s) of baking powder

– 1 clove(s) garlic, peeled and minced

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate all the utensils and ingredients needed for the blended savory pie (low carb).
  2. For 1 recipe – 4 servings, use a round baking pan 22 cm in diameter, 3 cm high (low pan) and grease it with olive oil.
  3. Peel and chop the garlic clove.
  4. In a large pot, boil enough water to pre-cook the cauliflower.
  5. Precook the cauliflower in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain well and reserve.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

PREPARATION:

Low Carb Blender Pie – Pie Crust:

  1. In a blender, add the pre-cooked cauliflower, eggs, almond milk, lactose-free Minas cheese, golden flaxseeds, zahtar (or other seasoning of choice), baking powder, and/or minced garlic cloves.
  2. Beat all the ingredients until you get a smooth and well-mixed mixture.

Low Carb Blender Savory Pie – Assembly and Cooking:

  1. Transfer the dough into the previously greased pan.
  2. Place in a preheated oven and cook at 180°C for approximately 30 minutes, or until the cake is firm and golden.
  3. To check if the cake is well cooked, do the toothpick test: insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
  4. When it reaches cooking point, turn off and remove from the oven.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve to blended savory pie (low carb) still hot, accompanied by a green salad or other side dish of your choice.
