Airfryer Ingredients for Herbed Sweet Potatoes:

– 1 large sweet potato, cut into sticks (segments)

– 4 cloves of garlic, with peel

– fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, chives, etc.) to taste

– extra virgin olive oil to taste

– salt to taste

– pepper to taste (optional) THE

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
  2. Wash and dry the garlic cloves, keeping them whole with the peel.
  3. Wash and dry the fresh herbs, which you can use in sprigs or chopped, depending on your preference.
  4. Wash and dry the sweet potato very well. There is no need to peel it. Cut it into pieces of about 7 cm and then cut each piece into sticks (segments).
  5. Preheat the Airfryer to 180°C.

PREPARATION:

Herb Sweet Potatoes in the Airfryer:

  1. Place the sweet potato sticks and whole garlic cloves in a bowl, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, season with salt and black pepper (optional), and mix well.
  2. Place the sweet potato sticks in the Airfryer basket, side by side, without stacking them, ensuring that the hot air can circulate freely. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure that all the sweet potato sticks are cooked evenly. Depending on the quantity, you may need to repeat the Airfryer cooking process in several stages.
  3. Intersperse the garlic cloves between the sweet potato sticks.
  4. Place the basket in the Airfryer drawer preheated to 180°C and insert it into the appliance.
  5. Cook for about 10 minutes, remove the basket.
  6. Flip the sweet potato sticks over and sprinkle fresh herbs, such as rosemary and thyme, on top.
  7. Season with another drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  8. Return the basket to the Airfryer and continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are very soft and golden brown – this time may vary depending on the wattage of your Airfryer.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Reorder sweet potatoes with herbs prepared in the airfryer on a serving platter or, if you prefer, distribute it on plates next to your main course.
  2. Serve immediately, enjoying the irresistible flavor and texture.
