Yogurt and honey cake
Time: 1h (+2h in the fridge)
Performance: 10 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 pot of natural yogurt (170g)
- 1 cup of oil (tea).
- 1 cup (tea) sugar
- 2 1/2 cups (tea) wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of yeast
- Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
Syrup
- 1 cup of milk (tea)
- 2 cloves
- 1/3 cup (tea) honey
- 1 pot of natural yogurt (170g)
Preparation method:
- Blend the eggs, yogurt, oil, honey, sugar and flour in a blender until smooth.
- Add the yeast and mix with a spoon.
- Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake tin and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool and unmold.
- For the syrup, in a saucepan, mix the milk, cinnamon, cloves and honey.
- Place on low heat and turn off as soon as it boils.
- Let it cool and remove the spices. Mix with the yogurt.
- Cut the cake into pieces and dip it in the syrup.
- Wrap each one in aluminum foil and refrigerate for 2 hours. If desired, serve sprinkled with ground cinnamon.
