Ingredients SKILLING POTATOES WITH CHEESE AND BACON

– 3 units of potatoes, pre-cooked and grated

– 2 teaspoons unsalted butter, plus more if needed

– 3 tablespoons grated parmesan (or other cheese of your choice)

– salt to taste

– 70 g bacon, diced

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate all the ingredients and utensils needed. . For 2 portions, separate a 23 cm diameter non-stick pan. Increase the size proportionally to obtain more portions or divide the quantity into more than 1 pan.
  2. Wash and poke holes in the potatoes. Arrange on a plate and pre-cook in the microwave for about 5 minutes (they should be firm).
  3. Cut the bacon into cubes.
  4. Remove the potatoes from the microwave and let them cool for about 5 minutes.

PREPARATION:

Potatoes:

  1. Grate the potatoes on the coarse side of the grater and season with salt to taste.
  2. Season the potatoes with salt to taste and combine with the grated cheese.

Pan-fried potatoes with cheese and bacon:

  1. Heat the non-stick pan(s), add the butter and turn the heat on low.
  2. Once melted, add the bacon cubes and brown them lightly for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the grated potatoes to the pan, mixing them with the browned bacon.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on the baking tray, pressing lightly to form a thin, consistent layer.
  5. Cover and keep heat on low. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, lifting edges occasionally to check for browning.
  6. When the bottom is golden brown, carefully turn it over with the help of a cutting board and slide it back into the pan.
  7. Increase the heat to medium, sear the other side for another 3-5 minutes.
  8. Turn off the heat and remove from the pan(s).

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Cut the Pan-fried potatoes with cheese and bacon into slices or triangles and serve immediately.
  2. Serving suggestion: Serve with a fresh salad or grilled meats such as chicken or beef.
