Ana Hickmann and Edu Guedes got engaged this Saturday (14) in the interior of São Paulo. The blonde wore a dress made by the Minas Gerais designer Letícia Manzan, who has more than 100,000 pearls embroidered on the lace. 30 meters of fabric were used and the garment was made in 20 days.
In a joint post on the presenter’s and Vogue Spose’s profiles, the designer said: “I proposed a dress with a double flared skirt, shorter in the front and longer in the back, with pearl appliqués. The embroidery is opaque, designed for the discreet shine of the day, with a slight transparency.” Ana told the magazine that she told Leticia that the dress, despite not being for a wedding, gave off that feeling.

In the publication, Hickmann spoke about the event that took place at Edu’s farm in Araras: “It’s a small ceremony to bless the rings, ask for protection and bless our future godparents.” And he added: “There’s only one thing I’m sure of in my life: I want to be happy.” The party was decorated in blue and white, designed by Bárbara Marques. The desserts were made by Louzieh Doces, in the same tones as the party.

The dress has an off-the-shoulder neckline, with an embroidered lace band that wraps around Ana’s arms and back and can be removed for comfort. “The challenge was to create a dress that doesn’t have a traditional bridal aesthetic. That’s why we developed a light dress, with a lot of fashion information and a shape that flatters Ana’s body. It’s full of textures,” brand owner Manzan said in marketing materials distributed by Ana Hickmann’s consultants a few weeks before the engagement, which brought together 50 people.

Before the event, Ana and Letícia gave some details of the look, such as the lace sample. “It’s very romantic,” the presenter said at the time. In her Instagram stories, Ana Hickmann also showed some models of shoes that she received and chose to wear that day. “I still don’t know if I’ll wear pumps with these embroidered sandals (…). They have this gold one with a wide heel, which is very comfortable,” she said in a video in which she showed off the Guilhermina brand. The mystery has been solved. Edu Guedes’ now official bride chose white pumps to make up the outfit.
