Ingredients for the banana and dulce de leche filling:

– 1/2 banana(s) mashed

– 50 g dulce de leche or enough (see pre-preparation note).

– lemon to taste (drops)

Ingredients FOR SPRAYING OR BRUSHING

– oil to taste

Ingredients FOR SPRAYING:

– sugar to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. If you prefer to buy the dough in a roll, place it on the counter and cut out circles or rectangles of the size you want. To make homemade shortcrust pastry, go to HERE.
  2. The dulce de leche for the filling can be purchased ready-made or prepared with condensed milk in a pressure cooker.
  3. The amount of filling depends on the size of the pastry – reference: for a 12 cm diameter pastry, use 1 level teaspoon of dulce de leche.
  4. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  5. Pour a little water into a bowl to seal the edges.
  6. Put a little oil in another bowl to brush the pastries or use a spray bottle.
  7. Place the final sugar in a deep dish.

PREPARATION:

Banana Pasta and Dulce de Leche in the Airfryer:

  1. Peel and roughly mash the banana in a deep dish, squeeze a few drops of lemon and mix.
  2. Place the dough on a cutting board.
  3. Place the dulce de leche in the center of one side of the dough and spread it out slightly, without adding too much filling to avoid it leaking out during cooking.
  4. Spread the banana puree on top.
  5. Using a brush, apply a little water to the edges of the dough.
  6. Fold the dough in half and press the edges together to seal.
  7. Using a fork or your fingers, gently press the edges of the pastry so that it is well sealed, being careful not to pierce the pastry.

Pastry in the Airfryer:

  1. Heat the Airfryer for 5 minutes at 200°C.
  2. Lightly brush the entire surface of the pastries with a drizzle of oil so that they become crispy and golden once cooked.
  3. Arrange the pastries in the basket, one next to the other, without stacking them, leaving space between them to allow air to circulate – depending on the quantity to be cooked, do this step in several stages.
  4. Place the basket in the Airfryer drawer and insert it into the appliance preheated to 200°C.
  5. Bake the pastries for about 7-10 minutes or until golden brown, the time depends on the power of your equipment.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Remove the pastries from the basket and pass them in the sugar.
  2. Serve the Banana and dulce de leche shortcrust pastry in the Airfryer hot for a snack or as a dessert.
