Students at the Elementary Education Center (CEF) 19 in Taguatinga, Federal District, became ill after inhaling smoke from a fire occurred near the school, on the afternoon of this Wednesday, 18. In total, 10 childrenaged between 10 and 13, needed treatment, some even fainted.

The images shown by TV Globo show the moment an unconscious student is carried in the lap of the members of the Military Firefighters of the Federal District (CBMDF), which participates in the management of the school and, therefore, quickly provided assistance to the students.

The children were taken to a more airy area, where they were attended by firefighters. The school had to stop classes because smoke had filled the rooms.

According to the broadcaster, 24 more public schools in DF have suspended classes this Wednesday due to smoke from the fires.
