Ingredients:
- 1 cup tamarind (tea)
- 4 cups boiling water
- 4 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 2 cups (tea) of ice water
Preparation method:
- Remove the skin from the tamarinds and discard.
- Place the peeled tamarinds in a large bowl and pour in the boiling water.
- Cover with a tea towel or a plate and let it rest for about 3 hours or until it has swelled well.
- Using your hands, separate the seeds from the pulp and then pass them through a sieve, squeezing them well.
- In a blender, add the tamarind pulp, sugar, cold water, ice and blend well until smooth.
- Then serve in glasses with ice.
