The Senac São Paulo professor gives advice on recipes that go very well with spring fruits
Spring has arrived bringing with it not only the blooming of flowers, which make the city landscape much more beautiful, but also the season of various delicious fruits from which many irresistible recipes are born. We spoke with Professor Fernanda Suzumura, from the Gastronomy area of Senac São Paulo, to find out exactly what the fruits of these preparation tips are and make the most of each of them.
Acerola: small and rounded, this fruit has a sweet and sour combination that makes it ideal for juices (orange acerola juice) and desserts (coconut acerola flan).
Banana: It is one of the most popular fruits in the world and is widely consumed in Brazil. Banana also has many benefits, being rich in vitamins and minerals. It goes very well with smoothies and cakes.

Coconut: It is a very practical fruit that can be used in many different ways. Its liquid part is very refreshing and is excellent for hydrating. The pulp can be eaten fresh and can be part of numerous recipes, such as coconut candies, coconut cakes and smoothies.

Jabuticaba: a typical Brazilian fruit with an unmistakable appearance as it is very round and dark. It has a sweet and slightly acidic flavor. Jaboticaba also has many benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can be used as an ingredient for herbal teas, drinks and jellies.

Jackfruit: It is the largest fruit that grows on a tree, it has green and yellow prickly skin and sweet pulp. Jackfruit can be used in both savory and sweet recipes, such as jackfruit tenderloin and jackfruit pancakes. It’s also great for drinks, like friend jackfruit.
