In collaboration with the Instituto Amor em Mechas, Wella offers collection points for locks of hair in salons in various cities across the country.
From this month, in support of the Pink October campaign, the hair care brand Wella will have hair collection points that will be available to receive donations over the course of six months. The action is a partnership with the Amor em Mechas Institute. The donated hair will be used to make wigs for women with cancer.
To donate, all you need to do is have a lock of hair longer than 15 cm and place it in the collection boxes. In salons, hairdressers carry out the process themselves. The donated hair will be made into wigs for women undergoing chemotherapy and who have lost their hair, as well as for women suffering from alopecia.

Donation boxes are available at Wella studios in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, at the brand’s office in the capital Sao Paulo, at the distribution center and also in Wella Professionals ambassador lounges across Brazil. I wait here is a complete list with all the collection points of the Instituto Amor a Mechas.
In São Paulo you can donate in the living rooms of ambassadors such as Celso Kamura and Romeu Felipe, but there are also ballot boxes available in the living rooms of other ambassadors serving in Rio de Janeiro, Campinas (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP) and Blumenau ( SC).
Wella’s Pink October campaign actions will also feature a visual transformation for 12 women who have overcome cancer and will be guided by the company’s educators.
