Apple and raisin strudel

Time: 3 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 12 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (tea).
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Melted butter for brushing
  • Sugar for dusting

Filling

  • 1 cup chopped peeled apple
  • 1 cup black raisins
  • Sugar and cinnamon powder to taste

Preparation method:

  1. In a bowl mix the flour, egg yolk, butter, milk, water, salt and olive oil.
  2. Knead and leave to rest for 30 minutes wrapped in cling film.
  3. Roll out the dough onto a smooth surface and set aside.
  4. For the filling, mix the apple, raisins, sugar and cinnamon in a container.
  5. Spread the mixture over the dough and roll it up like a roll.
  6. Place on a large, greased baking tray and bake in a preheated medium oven for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. While cooking, brush with a little melted butter to brown.
  8. Sprinkle the apple strudel with sugar and serve.
