Jaggery with cream
Time: 1h30 (+30min soaking)
Performance: 10 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 250 g of sago
- 1 and 1/2 liters of water
- 3 cups sugar (tea)
- 1 cinnamon stick
Cream
- 2 egg yolks, sifted
- 1 1/2 cups (tea) sugar
- 1 cup cream (tea).
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons of water
Preparation method:
- Leave the sago to soak in the water for 30 minutes.
- Bring to the boil and cook, stirring, until the balls become transparent.
- Add the wine, sugar, cinnamon and cook for another 15 minutes over low heat.
- Leave to cool, pour into bowls and place in the refrigerator.
- For the cream, heat the egg yolks, sugar, cream and vanilla.
- Add the cornstarch dissolved in the water and mix until it thickens.
- Transfer to a bowl, cover with cling film and leave to cool.
- Pour the cream onto the glasses and serve.
