Donut from the farm: a light dessert with a childhood flavour

Donuts are delicious in every way, except this one farm donut It’s even more special.




This is because it brings to its ingredients – and its preparation – that particular taste that reminds us of the delicious moments spent with the family on the farm!

Donut from the farm

Time: 1h30 (+1h10 rest)

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (tea) condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup warm orange juice
  • 1/3 cup oil (tea).
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablets of organic fresh yeast (30g)
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 500 g of soft wheat flour (approximately)
  • Oil and wheat flour for greasing and flouring
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing
  • Granulated sugar for sprinkling

Syrup

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 2 cups of orange juice

Preparation method:

  1. In a blender, beat the condensed milk, juice, oil, eggs and yeast.
  2. Transfer it to a bowl and mix the zest and flour, little by little, until it no longer sticks to your hands. If necessary, add more flour.
  3. Leave to rest for 1 hour.
  4. On a floured surface, form rolls with the dough and join the ends together, forming donuts.
  5. Place on a greased and floured baking tray, brush with egg yolk and bake in a preheated medium oven for 40 minutes or until cooked through and golden.
  6. In a pan, heat the syrup ingredients over medium heat for 5 minutes, after boiling.
  7. Let it cool, pour it on the donuts and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Let it dry and serve.
