Sheila Mello at SPFW: ‘from the catwalk on stage to the catwalk’

“I come from a suburban reality, where there was no possibility of having trends, colors and models. So I arrived with this wound. Many of the clothes I wore were given to me by my mother’s bosses. Afterwards I started to have access to them to this other universe, I saw that I had a lot of resistance. So, I never showed up, I never liked the climax of É or Tchan, those invitations came and my body had more aversion, even trembled. at the thought of being at these events, what a joy,” he explained.

“Today the invitation came in a different way. The Meninos Rei brand invited me and Beto Jamaica to represent Bahia, this beautiful movement that is axé, of which I am very honored to be part, even though I am from Sao Paulo. To be able getting on a stage, rather than being able to represent a trend, represent a brand that speaks of the essence. The activities that have entered my life, such as dancing, being on stage, then my training, I trained in bioenergetic analysis, then later it was in psychology. It’s all looking inside. So, anything that represents more internal than external makes more sense to me.”
