With an aesthetic that combines brightness, lightness and naturalness, this symbol of living, sensorial and radiant beauty manifests itself on skin, hair, nails and body
The 60th edition of São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW), held last October, once again put beauty in the spotlight and proved that splendor is getting new interpretations on the catwalks. Considered the largest fashion event in Latin America and one of the most relevant on the international calendar, it reaffirms its role as a showcase of innovation, behavior and creativity.
Among the fashion shows that translated this new reading of charmSanta Resistência has distinguished itself by transforming the concept of luminosity into an expression of strength and feminine ancestry.
Beauty inspired by water women
Inspired by water women – mythological figures such as Venus, Iemanjá, Iara and mermaids -, the beauty created by the artistic team of Jacques Janine, under the direction of make-up artist Chloé Gaya and hair salon Felipe Antunes, revealed to ethereal and powerful aestheticmarked by pearly skin, golden highlights and flowing hair.
“The idea was that the light seemed to arise from the skin, as if it were coming from within,” explains Chloé Gaya, artistic director of Jacques Janine, who adds: “We replaced the wet effect with a warm, pearly light, inspired by the reflection of the sun on the waves. To achieve this, we used strategic light points and holographic strokes created with the Chroma Delírio Pencil, by Contém 1g, which contributed to translate this liquid and spiritual movement”.
Makeup with natural shine and freshness
Makeup emphasizes naturalness and freshness, with a velvety finish and translucent lighting. In contrast to the lightness of the skin, the eyes gained prominence with subtle metallic touches and organic contours. On the lips, aqueous textures reinforce the look of “breathing skin,” one of the top beauty trends on the catwalks this season.

Hair with lightness and movement
For hair, the proposal followed the same path: sophisticated naturalness and lightness of movement. “The hair here is not a fixed structure, it is energy”, defines the hair salon Felipe Antunes, who adds: “We wanted each model to look as if it had been touched by the sea breeze, with threads that breathe and move. We worked with fluid waves and light finishesfinished with Hair Spray Charming, by Cless Cosméticos, to ensure the duration of the hairstyle, without stiffness.”
Between loose locks, textured ponytails, and mirror-straight ponytails, the beauty show showed that the new luxury lies in natural shine—one that appears to come from your own skin and hair. Complemented by the ornaments created by the Holy Resistance, which referenced sea foam and imaginary corals, the aesthetic celebrated the plurality of waters and those who represent them.
“Each model was treated as a unique entity,” says Chloé Gaya. Therefore, the characteristics of each woman were considered. “Just as the waters change colour, temperature and intensity, we work respecting identity and personality. We had women who remembered the calm sea, others who evoked the storm. An entire catwalk of liquid beauty”, he adds.
Trend shiny appearance
More than a catwalk proposal, this aesthetic is connected to a movement that has conquered the beauty scene: the shiny appearance. The trend, what values natural shine and the dewy, luminous finish goes beyond makeup and hair, also appearing on mirrored nails and illuminated body skin, which appear to reflect sunlight. The look of the “water women” thus emerges as a symbol of this new era of beauty – less artificial and more vitality, energy and self-confidence shining through.
