Ana Maria Braga will present a prime time cooking reality show on Globo

The veteran will host “Next Level Chef”, the national version of the American program presented by Gordon Ramsay

One of the most popular figures on Brazilian television, Ana Maria Braga, will have a prime time program on Globo for the first time. The host of “Mais Você” confirms himself as the face of the culinary reality show “Next Level Chef”, one of the main new features of the network’s programming for 2025.

The news was revealed during Globo’s Upfront, an advertising market presentation held this Wednesday (16th), during which the presenter expressed her excitement. “Do you know who will be present? Myself. I am very happy, grateful to the entire Globo team, to my directors, for their trust and collaboration”, celebrated Ana Maria.

Innovative formats and strategic challenges

Launched in 2022 by Fox in the United States, “Next Level Chef” is a reality show where chefs compete in a vertical kitchen across three floors, each with different levels of quality and resources. Chef Gordon Ramsay, creator of the format and presenter of the American version, recorded an exclusive video for the Globo event, to accompany the Brazilian premiere.

Contestants are divided into three teams, each led by a mentor chef, and face challenges to create dishes with the ingredients they manage to capture in an elevator that descends to the floors. The platform moves quickly, requiring strategy and organization from participants.

International success and expansion of the format

The reality show was a success in the United States, where it already has three seasons and was renewed for a fourth, but it did not have the same success in the United Kingdom, being canceled after just one edition in 2023. the format continues to expand, with versions planned for other countries, including France.

The arrival of “Next Level Chef” in Brazil marks another step for Globo in its commitment to culinary formats, especially in prime time, now under the leadership of Ana Maria Braga.
