When we’re at a party we try to enjoy a bit of everything, right? The drinks, the snacks, the delicacies… but there is nothing that attracts attention more than a cake! It’s the main part!
Here’s how to prepare this delicious delight:
Carrot cake for the party
Time: 2h (+45min in the fridge)
Performance: 8 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 3 carrots chopped
- 1 cup of oil (tea).
- 2 cups sugar (tea)
- 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of yeast
- Margarine and wheat flour for greasing and flouring
- 1 cup (tea) orange juice
Filling
- 300g chopped milk chocolate
- 1 can of cream
- 2 tablespoons chocolate liqueur
Coverage
- 250g chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 pack of cream (200 g)
Preparation method:
- In a blender, beat the egg, carrot, oil, sugar, flour and yeast until smooth.
- Place in a buttered and floured 22cm diameter baking pan.
- Bake in a preheated medium oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool.
- For the filling, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, add the cream and the liqueur and place in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
- Unmold the cold cake and cut it in half.
- Place a slice of cake on a plate and drizzle it with half the orange juice.
- Place the filling in a piping bag fitted with a nozzle and spread it decoratively on the cake.
- Cover with the other dough and drizzle with the remaining orange juice.
- For the covering, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, add it to the cream and cover the cake.
- Then serve decorated as desired.
