Nowadays, Halloween is celebrated in many countries, with people wearing costumes, handing out candy, decorating houses, and attending parties. One of the most popular costumes is that of the murderer Michael Myers, from the film “Halloween”, a horror classic released in 1978.

Did you know that the iconic mask that Michael Myers wears in the movie Halloween was created from a cast of the face of Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, in “Star Trek”?

This choice was made by Don Post, a well-known special effects creator, who was looking for a simple but scary option for the character.

The goal was to create a blank, emotionless appearance that would help create the air of mystery and terror surrounding Michael Myers.

The mask has become a symbol of the character and the “Halloween” franchise, being one of the most recognizable images in horror cinema, and nowadays we can see it on the streets and at Halloween parties.

Who knew that such a simple choice would become so iconic in the world of cinema and horror?
