COADO STRONG COFFEE Ingredients:

CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH COFFEE Ingredients:
– 4 units of eggs
– 2 cups of sugar
– 1 cup(s) oil + a little to grease the pan
– 2 cup(s) of ready-made coffee (see recipe)
– 3 cups of wheat flour
– 1 cup(s) of chocolate powder + a little to sprinkle the mold
– 2 tablespoons of chemical yeast
– salt to taste (pinch)
COFFEE CHOCOLATE SYRUP Ingredients:
– 1 cup(s) of chocolate powder
– 1 cup(s) of sugar
– 1/2 cup(s) of ready-made coffee (see recipe)
PREPARATION:
- For the entire recipe (4 portions) use a round baking pan with a hole in the center and a diameter of 24 cm. Grease the mold with oil and sprinkle with chocolate powder
- Start by preparing a very strong coffee (see preparation).
- Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
- In a bowl, sift the flour, chocolate powder and salt into the cake batter and mix.
PREPARATION:
Café Forte Coado (do this step during pre-preparation):
- Bring the water to the boil (see quantities in the ingredients).
- Place the coffee powder in a strainer and slowly pour in the hot water: you will obtain the quantity needed for the cake and syrup.
- Set aside the amount of coffee for the cake batter and reserve the rest for the syrup.
- Let it cool while you continue with the pre-preparation (step 3).
Chocolate cake with coffee:
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- In a blender, beat the eggs with the sugar until they turn white.
- Add the oil and cold coffee and beat again until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Add the dry ingredients little by little, using the ‘Pulse’ button on the blender, until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
- Finally add the yeast without beating.
- Pour the dough into the greased and floured pan.
- Place in a preheated oven at 180ºC.
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Chocolate sauce with coffee:
- While the cake is baking, in a pan, mix the chocolate powder, sugar and reserved filtered coffee.
- Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until boiling.
- Once it boils, turn off the heat, but continue stirring the syrup for about 2 minutes, until it thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
Chocolate cake with coffee:
- Once the cake is cooked, take it out of the oven, turn it off and let it cool for a few minutes before turning it out.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Tour chocolate cake with coffee onto a serving plate and pour the syrup over, allowing a shiny layer to run down the sides, creating an irresistible appearance.
