The end of the year is a busy time for many industries, and senior housing is no different. With parties and travel, families seek these spaces to let their loved one receive the necessary care while they are away. In some cases, the elderly themselves prefer to stay in the residences, enjoying the activities.

“People find trust in retirement homes to keep the elderly active as they are environments that guarantee healthy nutrition, healthcare and socialization, so as not to feel alone or abandoned during the period of stay. In December 2023 we had six temporary accommodations. For this year we estimate that they will reach 10”, explains Fábio Alves, CEO of 3i Residencial Sênior.

Providing autonomy and quality of life, seniors’ residences emerge as a solution for families, allowing temporary guests to also enjoy social programs such as reading, games, cinema sessions, activities such as organizing parties and events, as well as a circle of friends. conversation.

“Socialization is as important for old age as for any other stage of life. During the Christmas and New Year period we carry out programs such as visits, physical and cognitive activities that complement the program and commemorative parties so that these dates do not go unnoticed by residents and they can celebrate”, explains Fábio Alves.

The cost for temporary accommodation varies from R$ 3,500.00 to R$ 5,000.00, depending on the number of contracted nights and the type of room (group or individual).

“The idea is that seniors feel welcomed and safe during their stay, so it is important to ensure that the place also has specializations during festive moments such as geriatrics, nutrition, occupational therapy, social care, physiotherapy, among others ” ,. recommends the CEO.
