EQUIPMENT

conventional

METERS

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Ingredients: PAN CHEESE BREAD

– 1 cup(s) standard Minas cheese (or semi-hard cheese)

– 1 cup(s) of acidic tapioca starch

– 1 cup(s) canned cream (or fresh cream)

– salt to taste (optional)

Ingredients TO FINISH

– sugar cane honey (molasses or sugar syrup) to taste (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
  2. For every 2 portions use a 20cm pan. This recipe can also be prepared in larger pans if you are preparing it for more people.
  3. If you use a non-stick pan, grease it with a little butter or olive oil.
  4. Grate the cheese on the coarse side of the grater

PREPARATION:

Pan-fried cheese bread:

  1. Place the cream and cassava flour in a bowl and mix.
  2. Add the grated cheese and mix again until you obtain a smooth mixture.
  3. Taste and, if necessary, add salt.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over low heat: the heat must be very low so that the cheese bread can cook internally.
  5. Pour the dough into the pan – check the size so that the dough is at a medium height.
  6. Cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, checking that the bottom surface does not burn.
  7. Turn the cheese bread over, cover the pan again and cook for a further 5-7 minutes until golden brown on the bottom and cooked through.
  8. To check if it is cooked, do the toothpick test: if it comes out without dirt, it is ready.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Distribute the cheese bread in a pan on individual plates or place them on a cutting board, cut into small pieces.
  2. Finish with a zigzag drizzle of sugar cane molasses (optional).
