Ingredients of Airfryer Brie Cheese with Honey and Walnuts:
– 125 g of brie cheese
– 1 spoon(s) of honey
– 1/4 tablespoon of unsalted butter at room temperature
– 3 walnuts (halves), coarsely chopped (see preparation note)
Ingredients To accompany (optional):
– bread to taste or to toast (optional)
– dried fruit to taste (optional)
– cashews to taste (optional)
– Brazil nuts to taste (optional)
– pepper jelly of your choice or other jelly of your choice (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Dried fruit can be replaced with other oil seeds, such as barù nuts or others of your choice.
- Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
- Coarsely chop the walnuts.
- Preheat the Airfryer to 160ºC for approximately 5 minutes.
PREPARATION:
Brie Cheese with Honey and Walnuts in the Airfryer – Assemble:
- In a bowl, mix the honey and butter until a smooth paste forms.
- Add the chopped walnuts to the honey and butter mixture and stir well to combine.
- On a cutting board, with a sharp knife, cut the brie cheese:
- Cut horizontally, 1 finger apart, halfway up the height of the cheese.
- Turn the cheese and repeat the cuts in the opposite direction, forming a checkerboard pattern.
- Carefully open the cuts to insert the mixture, without breaking the cheese rind.
Brie with honey and nuts in the Airfryer – Cook:
- Place the brie cheese in a small baking dish that fits in the Airfryer basket.
- Fill the cheese cuts with the honey, butter and nut mixture.
- Place the refractory dish in the Airfryer basket and insert the drawer.
- Cook the cheese at 160ºC for about 5-8 minutes, or until soft and starting to melt. Note: Time may vary depending on the age of the cheese (younger cheeses take less time) and the power of the equipment.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Carefully remove the refractory material from the airfryer.
- Transfer to a serving plate.
- Drizzle the cheese with the remaining honey on the plate.
- Transfer to a plate and serve immediately with suggested accompaniments (optional), such as toast, dried fruit, nuts and jams (such as pepper jelly).
